Hate to see ya leave February…not. I’m ready to say good-bye to the dark mornings and nights, negative temps and hello to spring! The sidewalk snow is starting to melt (please listen to Amber’s PSA and clean off your sidewalks!) and the days are starting to stay lighter..before I know it I’ll be back outside and racing.
Speaking of racing, NWM DC 1/2 Marathon is exactly 2 months away! It’s becoming so real!
This race will be my first Nike race, and really the first time I’ve been to DC in my adult life so I’m excited to spend a weekend to hang out in DC. Any suggestions on must see/must do things that weekend?
Let’s see how my February goals went:
- Keep on Track with Marathon training - this has been very good! Grandma’s Marathon training began officially last week, and I’ve been keeping up with my training runs and workouts.
- Learn more about nutrition - With the help of my Runnerbox, I’ve learned new ways of staying fueled during my long runs and what works for me, and have gotten back on track with my diet.
All in all, February was a good month..but I’m ready for spring!
